Dr. Bernice Lo is a Principal Investigator in the Precision Medicine Research branch of Sidra Medicine. She has contributed to the discovery, diagnosis, and molecular understanding of inherited autoimmune disorders.
She obtained her Ph.D. in Cell and Molecular Biology at Duke University in the United States. And trained at the National Institutes of Health in the US, studying genetic disorders of the immune system, where she has helped discover new genetic autoimmune disorders. And here in Qatar, her team is currently in the process of discovering new monogenetic disorders of IBD as well as other inherited disorders of immune dysregulation.
