Dr. Noora Al-Muftah

Dr. Noora Al-Muftah is an Assistant Professor at the College of Health Sciences, Qatar University. She is the first Computational Biology graduate from Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar (Class of 2016). She earned her Master’s degree in Computational Biology and Quantitative Genetics from Harvard University, where she conducted her Master’s research in Clinical Computational Oncology at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, MA, USA.
Dr. Al-Muftah completed her PhD in Computational Cancer Genomics at the Big Data Institute, University of Oxford, in 2024. Her doctoral research focused on large-scale genomic analyses of prostate cancer, including a cohort of over 900 patients. Following her return to Qatar and in addition to her academic duties at Qatar University, she has been actively collaborating with clinicians and researchers at Hamad Medical Corporation on genomic and precision medicine projects aimed at advancing diagnostics and treatment.
