Dr. Gorka Martínez Grau, Ophthalmologist, Barraquer Ophthalmology CentreBarcelona, SpainDr. Gorka Martínez Grau received his Bachelor in Medicine and Surgery from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (1988) with a specialization in Ophthalmology at the Barraquer Ophthalmology Centre. He supplemented his training in Oculoplasty in Santiago de Compostela (Prof. Perez Moreirasand; Dr. Prada), Mexico City (Prof. Guillermo Salcedo) and Munich (Dr. Markus Pfeiffer). Associate Professor of the Ramón Llull University (1992-1997).
Dr. Grau’s professional activities includes:
- Coordinator of the Oculoplasty Unit at the Barraquer Ophthalmology Centre in Barcelona.
- Founding Member of the Pan-American Oculoplasty Association.
- Member of the Sociedad Española de Oftalmología, Sociedad Española de Cirugía Plástica Ocular i Orbitaria, Sociedad Española de Estrabismo, American Academy of Ophthalmology and of the Pan-American Association of Ophthalmology.
- Member collaborator of the Barraquer Foundation and of the Clarós Foundation.
- Member of the Board of the Foundation "Sonrisas de Bombay."
- Reviewer editorial of Ophthalmic Plastic and reconstructive Surgery.
- Director of "Annals d’Oftalmologia”.
