Dr. Kargachin finished her Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from the University of Zagreb (Croatia) in 1976. She specialized in Ophthalmology at the University Hospital of Zagreb in 1981. She completed her training at the Jules Stein Institute in Los Angeles (USA). Currently, she works at the Refractive Surgery, Crystalline Lens and Anterior Chamber Departments at the Barraquer Ophthalmology Centre.
She has published several papers about lasik and cataract. This is including her Masters thesis in 1980 with the title of “Análisis cuantitativo de dermatoglifos digitopalmares en personas enfermas de distrofia pigmentaria de la retina”.
