Dr. Mohammed Shafi is Head of Oncology and Lymphedema Physiotherapy Department, NCCCR Co-Chair of LE &RN, Qatar Chapter
He obtained his Bachelor of Physiotherapy from India, Specialized in Level four Cancer Rehabilitation by Wright Foundation from the United Kingdom, and Certified Lymphedema Therapist from Colorado, the United States of America, by Klose Training Centre. He underwent an Advanced and Review Course in Head and Neck Lymphedema Management from Hinterzarten, Germany.
Dr. Shafi is also an ACSM (American College of Sports Medicine) Certified Cancer Exercise trainer in Establishing First Lymphedema Clinic within Hamad Medical Corporation, Doha- Qatar. Author in developing Clinical Practice Guidelines for Lymphedema Management, Hamad Medical Corporation, Qatar and core member of Qatar National Breast Tumor Board, Ministry of Public health, as Lymphedema Specialist.
He is also a core member of the National Clinical Advisory group- breast cancer and head and neck cancers, Qatar's Ministry of Public Health. He is an invited speaker in many conferences, regional and International.
