Dr. Hebatalla Afifi received her bachelor's degree in pharmacy from the College of Pharmacy, Qatar University, Qatar in 2012, and received her Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree at the same college in 2013. Dr. Hebatalla completed her PharmD training locally at Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC)- Qatar, and internationally in Louisiana- USA.
Since 2013, Dr. Hebatalla joined the NCCCR - HMC Qatar as a clinical pharmacist. She has 10 years' experience in oncology and palliative care settings. She has been leading and involved in multiple hospital quality projects. She is a core member of multiple oncology MDTs and participated in the Qatar national tumor board. Dr. Heba received certifications from Purdue University, the American Society of Parenteral & Enteral Nutrition, and University of Southern Indiana.
Dr. Hebatalla is also a certified educator by the Indiana Pharmacy Resident Teaching Certificate Program (IPTec). Since 2015, Dr. Hebatalla joined the College of Pharmacy, Qatar University as an adjunct lecturer, and an advanced clinical internship preceptor for Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) program candidates. Dr. Heba believes in lifelong learning as she served as pharmacy education officer for eight years.
Dr. Hebatalla has various journals publications, posters, and oral presentations in local, regional, and international oncology events. Her main interests are oncology and palliative care setting where she focuses her scope of research.
