Dr. Ghanem Al‑Sulaiti leads the strategic development and operational oversight of the Neuroscience Institute at HMC. His portfolio includes integrated neurological and neurosurgical service delivery, advancement of translational neuroscience research, and coordination of multi‑disciplinary clinical programs. He plays a central role in shaping institutional academic initiatives, fostering research collaborations, and advocating for the acquisition and implementation of state‑of‑the‑art diagnostic and therapeutic technologies. He also contributes to several institutional committees focused on clinical governance, innovation, and neurosciences development. In addition, he leads the clinical examination committee for Neurosurgery QBMS.


Ghaya Al‑Rumaihi, MD
Head, Department of Neurosurgery, Hamad Medical Corporation

Dr. Ghaya Al‑Rumaihi provides executive leadership for the Department of Neurosurgery, overseeing clinical operations, academic programs, and neurosurgical research priorities. Her work emphasizes multidisciplinary patient care, quality improvement, and evidence‑based clinical practice. She actively participates in hospital‑wide clinical quality committees, academic planning groups, and neurosurgical training oversight, contributing to departmental and institutional strategy. She is also Chair, Examination Committee, QBMS.


Jawad Yousaf, MD
Consultant Neurosurgeon, Hamad Medical Corporation

Dr. Jawad Yousaf specializes in skull base and vascular neurosurgery, with extensive experience in the management of complex cerebrovascular disorders and skull base pathologies. His clinical and academic interests encompass intracranial aneurysms, cerebral AVM,cerebral cavernomas, cerebralrevascularization,skull base meningiomas, vestibular schwannomas, craniopharyngiomas, chordomas, and minimally invasive techniques such as endoscopic intraventricular surgery, as well as endoscopic transnasal and transorbital procedures. Dr. Yousaf actively contributes to the skull base fellowship program, the skull base multidisciplinary board, and engages in neurosurgical research committees.


Raed Abou Jarir, MD
Consultant Neurosurgeon, Hamad Medical Corporation

Dr. Raed Abou Jarir practices cranial and spinal neurosurgery, participating in the care of a broad range of neurosurgical pathologies. He is actively engaged in multidisciplinary case discussions, departmental clinical practice initiatives, and neurosurgical research activity. He contributes to institutional clinical governance and quality‑assurance committees related to neurosurgical practice.


Arshad Ali, MD

Dr. Arshad Ali provides comprehensive cranial neurosurgical care and contributes extensively to education and academic development within the department. His interests include resident teaching, and clinical service optimization. He participates in neurosurgery education committees, academic development groups, and hospital initiatives supporting training and professional development.


Amro Alhajjali, MD

Dr. Amro Alhajjali subspecializes in skull base and vascular neurosurgery and is actively involved in the management of complex cranial pathologies. As Associate Program Director, he supports curriculum design, resident assessment, and training oversight. He contributes to academic committees, cranial multidisciplinary boards, departmental research initiatives, Plus Clinical examination development for Neurosurgery, QBMS.


Kazim Mohammad, MD
General Neurosurgeon & Associate Program Director, Neurosurgery Residency Program, HMC

Dr. Kazim Mohammad provides comprehensive neurosurgical care across cranial and spinal conditions. In his role as Associate Program Director, he contributes to residency training, academic programming, and mentorship. His interests span clinical service development, neurosurgical education, and departmental research.
