Dr. Salma is a Diabetic Foot Surgeon and Wound Care Specialist since 2002. She has finished an MSc. in Wound & Skin integrity from UK. She is a member of EWMA since 2006 and is also a member of the Association of Diabetic Foot Surgeons (A-DFS)-2016. She has participated with the faculty of medicine in Kuwait in student education in diabetic foot. She was also the previous Vice President of "Kuwait Wound Care Society" (2010-2015).
She also participated as a speaker and organizer in the “First International Diabetic Conference" in Kuwait at Dasman Center in April, 2008. She was also an organizer and speaker in many workshops in DFU in Kuwait. She is an international speaker in Diabetic Foot and Wound and has several international publications in her name. She was the GDFWG course director in November 2015 and also the Chairman of the Gulf Diabetic Foot Working Group conference held in Kuwait (4-5 March 2016). She is also an Expert Reviewer in “Wounds Middle East Expert Consensus on NPWT in Infected Wounds.”
