Dr. Nihal Al Riyami, BSc., MD, FRCSC Associate Professor & Senior Consultant Maternal Fetal Medicine College of Medicine & Health Sciences, Sultan Qaboos University (SQU)
Dr. Nihal is an Associate Professor and Senior Consultant Maternal Fetal Medicine. She was the previous Head of the department at SQU and Program Director at Oman Medical Specialty Board (OMSB). She was the previous board member of the Omani Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology (OSOG). Dr Nihal is the Vice President of the Oman Society of Ultrasound in Medicine (OSUM and also the Vice President of the Omani society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology (OSUOG).
Dr. Nihal completed her undergraduate training at SQU and postgraduate training at the University of Toronto, Canada. Her main interest is in the area of medical complications of pregnancy.
Dr. Nihal is a member of many international and national committees including the Accreditation Council of Graduate Medical Education International (ACGME-I) based in the United States and the OMSB Internal Review Committee. She is a member of the higher technical medical committee of Kuwait and the chair of medical termination of pregnancy committee (SQUH). Dr. Nihal is also an associated editor for the Oman Medical and Sultan Qaboos University Medical Journal's and a reviewer in National and International Journals. She has special interest in clinical research and has several publications in peer reviewed journals.
