Mr. Akram is Director of Nursing Quality and Associate services at HGH. He undertakes two main roles as leading the Total Nursing Quality Management Department at HGH and professionally managing nursing staffs at four Corporate Therapeutic Services are Pediatric Cardiac Cath-Lab, Clinical Imaging Department, Qatar Metabolics and Genetics Center and Blood Donor and Transfusion Medicine Center.
Akram has over five years of experience in his current position in leading the nursing quality management team. Overall, he holds 18 years of experience in the nursing profession in general surgery, neurosurgery and the orthopedic units. He is a certified HMC/IHI Quality Improvement Fellows since 2015. Additionally, he is one of Certified National Healthcare Facilities Inspector from the Minister of Public Health in Qatar and he chairs a number of critical hospital and corporate based steering committees that make clinical decisions for ensuring the provision of high quality care and improving patient safety. Mr. Akram is routinely engaged in a wide range of hospital as well as corporate level quality projects.
