Dr. Hussam Itani
Dr. Hussam Itani is a Wound Management Consultant and trainer. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the American University of Beirut. He continued medical school and got his MD and subspecialty in Septic Surgery and Wound Management from St. Petersburg State Medical University. In 2017, he completed his Master of Science degree in Wound Healing and Tissue Viability at Cardiff University-UK.
Dr. Itani has over 17 years of experience in wound care. Beside the clinical practice, he has created and conducted wound management training, ranging from introductory crush courses to specialized training programs for more than 18,000 health care professionals. Moreover, Dr. Itani is well-known speaker and has been on many national and international speakers’ panels.
Dr. Itani has a number of publications on wound care and currently he is the regional advisor for Wounds International Journal for the Middle East.
