Ms. Bency Lukose is a Certified Infection Control Practitioner (CIC) with over 20 years of experience in the field of Infection Prevention and Control (IPC). She has been the Head of Hospital Infection Control at Hamad General Hospital since 2013. Ms. Lukose holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Nursing Administration and completed a Masters in Infection Control from the University of Essex in the UK.

Ms. Bency is a Certified Microsystem Coach and has attended many IPC and quality improvement training sessions. In her current leadership role she has led many improvement projects. She has done story board presentations in ME Quality forums and publications in international journals and has been involved in research activities. She has received HMC star of excellence awards and other best practice recognition certificates.

She is the member of Corporate Policy Committee for IPC, Construction Team and Outbreak Management committees. She is actively involved in JCI accreditation survey and other external consultant visits related to IPC. She is involved in education and training of staff on IPC. She keeps abreast with current IPC standards and has attended national and international symposiums. She is also a member of Association of Professionals in Infection Control (APIC) in the USA.
