Dr. Parker Hu, MD, FACS
Dr. Parker Hu is an Assistant Professor and the Associate Trauma Medical Director for the Division of Acute Care Surgery at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Dr. Hu went to medical school at the University of Missouri Medical School. He underwent residency in general surgery at the University of Missouri followed by fellowship in Surgical Critical Care at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. After joining the faculty at UAB in 2017, he has maintained a busy clinical practice as an acute care surgeon while pursuing his research interests in whole blood resuscitation and cost effectiveness in trauma.
