Dr. Mounir Soussi's impressive academic and professional journey showcases his commitment to the field of medicine and public health. He obtained his MBBS from the Faculty of Medicine in Tunisia in 1992, and his pursuit of knowledge led him to complete a PhD in Mental Health from Tunisia in 1996. In 2002, Dr. Soussi further specialized in Addictionology, demonstrating his dedication to addressing crucial societal health challenges.

From 2002 to 2008, he served as the Medical Director at Al Amal Hospital in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, where he undoubtedly contributed significantly to patient care and hospital management. In 2009, he joined Qatar and played a key role in the establishment of the first Center for the Treatment and Rehabilitation of Social Deviations. Additionally, in 2011, he spearheaded the development of the first Treatment and Rehabilitation Center for Alcohol and Drug Addiction, holding the position of Medical Director.

Since 2014, Dr. Soussi has continued to make invaluable contributions to the public health sector as a Senior Consultant and Senior Advisor in the Public Health department of the Ministry of Public Health. His expertise and dedication have been instrumental in shaping strategic initiatives, including the development of SMART objectives and the implementation plan for the Public Health Strategy 2017-2022.

Furthermore, his leadership and coordination skills have been recognized, as evidenced by his appointment as Public Health Accreditation Coordinator. Under his guidance and the collaboration of the Domain Leads, the Ministry of Public Health successfully achieved accreditation by PHAB (Public Health Accreditation Board) in August 2022, a remarkable milestone that reflects his commitment to excellence in the field.
