The organizing committee of the Qatar Health International (QHI) Congress 2026 is delighted to invite you to participate and submit abstracts for oral or poster presentation. Submissions should be related to original healthcare related research or quality improvement projects. Interesting case reports are also encouraged. You can also submit outstanding work in the fields of health care service development and education.
- An author from each abstract must be registered to attend the congress and present the poster or oral presentation, if accepted.
- All abstracts must be submitted on the
template provided and presented in clear English with accurate grammar and spelling of a quality suitable for publication.
- Only abstracts submitted via the online submission platform will be considered.
- A selection of the best accepted abstracts will be published in the conference abstract book and in a journal supplement.
- Distinguished presentations (oral and poster) will be awarded at the conference.
- Abstracts should not exceed the 300-word limit as shown in the abstract guidelines.
- All abstracts (except case reports) should be structured as follows:
- Background and aims
- Methods
- Results
- Conclusion
- References (Up to 3 cited in Vancouver format, not part of the word limit)
- Up to 2 tables or figures (Cited in the abstract text)
- Statement of ethical approval or exemption with committee name and reference number
- Additional section for disclosure/brief acknowledgements may be added
- List 5 keywords
- Statement of approval or refusal to have the submitted abstract published online if it is selected for publication
- To have the abstract considered for publication, include a statement confirming that the information has not previously been published and will not be submitted for publication elsewhere prior to 28 February 2026
- Selection of preferred presentation format (Oral – Face-to-face or poster - Online)
Evaluation Criteria for abstract submissions
The Abstract Review Committee will review all abstracts using the following criteria:
- The content of the abstract provides new insight and/or knowledge.
- The abstract is clearly written, well organized, and all fields of the
template have been properly completed.
- The proposed presentation is innovative and/or original.
- The proposed presentation will be of interest to congress delegates.
- Authors may be asked to revise their submission to address the Committee and reviewer comments, especially if considered for publication in a journal supplement. Prompt responses from submitting authors will be required.

By submitting an abstract, you agree with the following conditions:
- I confirm that I wrote this abstract, that all information is correct and original, and that it was not AI generated.
- Abstracts will be subjected to plagiarism detection. Any previously published abstract should be declared on the submission template and will be considered for acceptance, but will not be eligible for publication.
- Submission of the abstract establishes my consent to publication on the conference website.
- The authorship list should only include individuals who significantly contributed to several aspects of the work presented and may not be altered at a later stage.

Please follow the format below when writing your abstract content:

Background and aims: Explain the context of the study explaining why the study was done stating any specific hypothesis. State the exact aims of the study, detailing what was intended to be achieved.

Methods: Indicate where the study was done and what the study design was. Give information on the participants (Who were they? How were they recruited? How many were studied? What were the inclusion and exclusion criteria?) Mention any interventions (if appropriate).

Results: Provide the number of participants assigned and analyzed. Describe outcomes, data, and statistical tests if appropriate. Report any important adverse events/side-effects.

Conclusion: Summarize the research outcomes and how they add to the existing body of knowledge, the lessons learned from the project, the impact of the study on current and future health services and any implications for future research and practice
For case reports, adopt the structure: Background, Case presentation, Discussion, Conclusion, References, Publication approval statement (Patient consent, Institutional approval with reference number (for HMC-MRC submission)), Up to 2 figures or tables
