Title:Point of Care Ultrasound (POCUS): Integrating POCUS with Clinical Reasoning - a hands on workshop

  •  Sono - Anatomy and basic principles of physics and knobology.
  •  Integrate ultrasound findings with clinical presentation.
  • Detection of free fluid in the abdomen, diagnose pneumo-thorax & pleural effusion at bedside.
  • Estimate ejection fraction (EF) and diagnose pericardial effusion.

Title: Advanced Airway Management Workshop for Non-Anesthesiologists

Target audience: This workshop is designed for Physicians, Residents/Fellows, Medical Students, and Anesthesia Technologists.

Learning objectives: Upon completion, participants will be able to:

  • Manage both unanticipated and anticipated difficult airways according to international guidelines (e.g., DAS).
  • Demonstrate proficiency with advanced tools, including Video Laryngoscopy, Supraglottic Airway Devices (SGADs), and Fiberoptic Scopes.
  • Perform emergency front-of-neck access (eFONA) and surgical airway techniques.
  • Utilize ultrasound for airway assessment and management.
  • Apply critical human factors and non-technical skills in airway crisis scenarios.

Learning objectives:

  • Upon completion of this workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Understand NTDS definitions, inclusion criteria, and local data elements.
  • Perform accurate abstraction using ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, and AIS.

Title:New insights into management of diabetes in special populations

Learning objectives: This workshop aims to enhance and improve the process of diagnosis to select the most appropriate management plan for special populations of diabetic patients that include:

  • Inpatient diabetic patients (hospitalized in medical and surgical wards)
  • Diabetic patients with kidney disease
  • Type 1 diabetic patients
  • Obese diabetic patients (BMI>30)
