Dr. Anvar Vellamgot

Dr. Anvar, MD(pediatrics), DCH, DNB(pediatrics), MRCPCH (UK), PGD(Pediatric nutrition), is an Associate Consultant in Neonatology at NICU Al Wakrah Hospital. He post-graduated from India in 2003. After eight years of tertiary-level service in India, he joined Hamad Medical Corporation in 2011. His Quality improvement trainings include IHI “Best care always” sessions conducted by HHQI and the FQIC & IQIC courses. . He was involved in several quality improvement projects in NICU, AWH and is the lead physician for the current project to reduce antibiotic use among chorioamnionitis-exposed neonates. His area of particular interest includes research and quality improvement interventions in perinatal medicine, and he has multiple publications in international peer-reviewed journals.
