Dr. Pravija Talapan Manikoth
Senior Consultant
Dr. Pravija Talapan Manikoth is a Senior Consultant Geriatric Psychiatrist working n the Department of Geriatrics and Long-Term Care at Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) since October 2018. She is also a working task force member of the Qatar National Dementia Plan. Before joining HMC, she worked as a Consultant Old Age Psychiatrist at the Black Country Partnership NHS Foundation Trust in the UK. Dr. Pravija completed her MBBS from the University of Delhi, India, and after that, did her core and higher specialist training in Psychiatry in West Midlands, UK. She has a CCT in Old Age Psychiatry and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists.
Dr. Pravija’s special interest areas include Cognitive Disorders and Dementia, Geriatric Liaison Psychiatry, and Geriatric Forensic Psychiatry.
