Qualified as a doctor in 1993 from Thanjavur Medical College, Dr.MGR University, India.
Pursued higher training in the United Kingdom and obtained MRCP and CCST in geriatrics and general internal medicine.
Obtained the lead consultant post in Acute Medicine and set up an award winning service in Countess of Chester Foundation trust NHS Hospital.
Later moved to St.Helens and Knowsley teaching hospitals as a lead for stroke service and started multiple award winning stroke service and establishing the unit as one of the first Primary centers for the region.
Became a Clinical director of Geriatrics, Stroke and neurovascular service , Intermediate care and community medicine for the trust and went on to establishing award winning patient centered services for all the above areas. The Trust was selected as one of the 7 hospitals in UK as excellent for patient centered care with special mention of elderly care services for its innovation.
Was a keen educator with being the director of the Stroke thrombolysis education program, Educational supervisor to Specialist registrars, Core trainees, foundation doctors and a mentor to medical students.
Was an appraiser to 3 senior colleagues within the trust to aid revalidation and licensing of colleagues. Have help many key positions in quality and governance as part of being a director for the service.
Have participated in many multicenter trials and also published case reports on a regular basis as I believe clinical experience form a key part in pattern recognition of clinical problems.
