Ms. Mariam Al-Mutawa
Acting Chief Nursing Officer - HMC
Ms. Mariam Al-Mutawa is the Acting Chief Nursing Officer, with a strategic oversight for nursing matters at Hamad Medical Corporation. With more than 22 years of nursing experience, Ms. Al-Mutawa supports the strategic direction for nursing services across the corporation, ensuring its alignment with corporate goals and objectives. Working alongside a strong interprofessional leadership team to provide quality patient services, Ms. Al-Mutawa is responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of the nursing services and for establishing structures and frameworks to ensure the right environment for ongoing development and the support of professional nursing practice.
Ms. Al-Mutawa was previously the Executive Director of Rumailah Hospital, the first hospital in Qatar within HMC’s group of tertiary and secondary care hospitals, where she was part of the hospital's executive team. She had oversight of daily hospital operations, managing more than 1200 nurses.
Ms. Al-Mutawa is passionate about staff development, especially when it comes to young Qatari nurses, as they are the future of Qatar's healthcare services.
