About the Clinical Imaging Department
Welcome to Clinical Imaging Department at Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC), which is playing an important role in patient management by providing state-of-the-art medical imaging services in all disciplines of medicine. The department provides imaging services for clinicians to achieve diagnosis, helping in patient management and some service as treatment.  

We have a committed team of qualified, specialized, board-certified radiologists and accredited technologists, and support staff, who make every effort to provide the highest quality medical imaging to all patients by using a wide and advanced range of radiology modalities. Our team of specialized doctors provides diagnostic and interventional imaging services ranging from body and pelvis to neuro, pediatric, cardiac, angiography and interventional, musculoskeletal, breast and women, oncology, and accident and emergency imaging services.

Our Services 
We provide a full range of vital imaging services 24/7 throughout the week for emergent and inpatients across all HMC’s network of hospitals. Our services are available by appointment for all outpatients and some inpatients. The department typically receives approximately 27,000 patients per month across services in all hospitals. 

The Clinical Imaging Department offers cutting edge services using state-of-the-art equipment including:

We offer our services in a full electronic/digital imaging environment, supported by advanced Radiology Information System (RIS) and Picture Archiving and Communications System (PACS). 



Education and Training 
Our department has played a key part in the Joint Commission International accreditation of facilities across HMC and we are an important academic section of the Corporation with our residency program being among the first seven specialties to be accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education-International (ACGME-I). The ACGME-I accreditation ensures that residents are trained based on the same standards and guidelines as their counterparts in the United States. The department’s rigorous and highly competitive fellowship and residency program provides future radiologists with advanced specialized training. We also offer Continuous Medical Education programs for other clinical specialties that have first-hand exposure to relevant imaging modalities.
