Dr. Carla Irani is an Associate Professor of Medicine at St Joseph University and an Attending Physician at the Internal Medicine & Clinical Immunology Department at Hotel Dieu de France University Hospital, Beirut, Lebanon. She completed her internal medicine residency at Cooper University Hospital, Camden, NJ, USA, followed by an allergy and clinical immunology fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia,USA. She also completed a Master of Clinical Epidemiology degree from the American University of Beirut.
Dr. Irani is a Fellow of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology and the President of the Lebanese Society of Allergy and Immunology.
She is a member of the International Consortium of Immunodeficiency, the communication committee of WAO, and the ANAFORCAL( Association Francophone de Formation Continue en Allergologie). Her clinical interests focus on asthma and allergy across adult and pediatric populations.
Dr. Irani has published more than 50 papers in high-impact, peer-reviewed prestigious journals. She is also an editorial board member for the International Archives of Allergy and Immunology.
