Dr. Fares Zaitoun (Lebanon)
Dr. Fares Zaitoun is a Senior Consultant in Allergy & Clinical Immunology at Clemenceau Medical Center Hospital, Dubai, UAE, and has vast Clinical Experience, Teaching, Faculty Association, and Professorship at American University Hospital and Lebanese-American University Medical Center, Beirut, Lebanon, since 2000.
He has been the Director of the Allergy, Asthma & Immunology Center, Beirut, Lebanon, 2000-2021, and Director Allergy Unit, Advanced CURE Diagnostic Center, Abu Dhabi, UAE, since 2011. He was the Founding First President Pan-Arab Society of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology, 2019, and the President Lebanese Society of Allergy & Immunology, 2007-2009, 2017-2019. He received multiple International Awards: including World Allergy Organization Special Recognition Award 2019.
Dr. Zaytoun is the Director of the World Pollen Network, World Allergy Organization, 2009-2011, and Executive Board Nomination Committee, World Allergy Organization, 2019-present. He is an American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology Fellow, 1999-present, and received an International Distinguished Fellow, American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology, 2011.
He is the Chair International Committee, American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology, the Middle East/Africa 2015-2019, Organizer & Co-Chair of the Third Middle East-Asia Allergy, Asthma & Immunology Congress, 2015, Abu Dhabi, UAE, Organizer & Co-Chair, First & Second Middle East-Asia Allergy, Asthma & Immunology Congress, 2009 & 2011, Dubai, UAE, Co-President, World Allergy International Scientific Congress, 2019, Beirut, Lebanon, Director, HAE International, GCC & Middle East Regional Task Force, 2018-present.
He is a Key Opinion Leader and frequently invited Speaker, Chair, or Moderator at national, regional, and international conferences. He is the Director and Organizer of several Allergy/Immunology Educational and Research Projects with twenty publications as an author or co-author in International Peer-Reviewed Journals and Over 250 Media Interviews (TV, radio, web, newspaper, and magazine).
