Professor Desmond Geoffrey Johnston
Professor Desmond Johnston is the Vice Dean (International Activities) for the Faculty of Medicine at Imperial College London. His role involves leading the Faculty of Medicine’s international partnership activities in research and education. He sits on the Governing Board of the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine - a joint initiative between Imperial College London and Nanyang Technological University in Singapore.
Professor Johnston is also a clinical researcher in the Division of Diabetes Endocrinology and Metabolism. He joined the St Mary’s Hospital Medical School in 1986 and is a former Chief of Service (Specialist & Elderly Medicine) in the Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. He is a trained clinician and is actively involved in diabetes and metabolic medicine clinics.
