​Ms. Zeinab Idris

Ms. Zeinab is an advanced practice nurse with over 20 years of experience in clinical leadership, nursing practice, education, and research, specialized in oncology palliative care. She earned her Master of Nursing degree from the University of Calgary-Qatar in 2015. In 2017, she completed the Leadership for Change program through the International Council of Nursing (ICN) and Qatar's Ministry of Public Health (MoPH). Currently, she served as an adjunct assistant professor at the University of Calgary-Qatar. In 2021, she completed a fellowship in palliative care at St. Christopher’s Hospice in the United Kingdom and the Institute of Palliative Medicine - WHO Collaborating Centre for Community Participation in Palliative Care and Long-Term Care, where she now mentors’ others. Furthermore, she became a certified clinical healthcare coach in 2022 from the National Lead for Multiple Chronic Conditions - Qatar and the Iowa Chronic Care Consortium - (USA). Her latest publication was released in July 2024, is titled "The Use of Palliative Performance Scale as the Sole Prognostication Tool among Patients Transferred Under Palliative Care: A Single Institution’s Experience in Qatar.
