Dr. Davit Sargsyan
Dr. Dabit graduated in 1994 at the State Medical University in Armenia. He finished his residency and fellowship training and PhD thesis in 2000. Added to this, he did his fellowships in Canada, Germany, and Japan.
Dr. Dabit is a member of the European Board of General Surgery, an international member of American College of Surgeons and American Society of Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery, and a member of IFSO.
He joined Hamad Medical Corporation in 2008 and from 2011 and is the co-founder and co-lead of the department. Dr. Dabit is a senior consultant in bariatric and metabolic surgery.
He is a co-author on the national guidelines in BMS and peer reviewer in leading international journals in BMS: Obesity surgery and SOARD.
His main interests and expertise are bariatric and metabolic surgery, surgical treatment of T2DM.
