Dr. Syed Intakhab Alam is a distinguished musculoskeletal radiologist recognized for his contributions to education and clinical imaging in Qatar and beyond. He received the Best Teaching Faculty Award in the department of Clinical Imaging in 2014-2015.
He was invited as Guest Faculty to deliver a lecture at the Annual Scientific Meeting of the European Society of Musculoskeletal Radiology (ESSR) in 2014, held in Riga, Latvia. He also served as a speaker and tutor at the first Qatar MSK Ultrasound and MRI MSK Imaging Course, held from 6-9 November 2014 in Doha, Qatar.
Since joining the Department of Clinical Imaging at Hamad General Hospital, Dr. Alam has established a dedicated MSK ultrasound service and has been actively have providing training and supervision to various departments in musculoskeletal ultrasound. He was selected as the In-Charge of the Research Committee within the Department of Clinical Imaging.
Dr. Alam is a member of the European Society of Musculoskeletal Radiology and the Asian Musculoskeletal Radiology Society. In April 2012, he served as an active member of the Formula 1 Working Medical Team in Bahrain. He has published several articles in radiology journals and delivered many lectures for the Asian Musculoskeletal Society.
