Dr. Basem Awadh is currently a senior consultant and an associate program director in the Rheumatology department at Hamad Medical Center.
Dr. Basem earned his MD degree from Damascus University then completed his training in the US. He first did his internal medicine training at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine, then his rheumatology fellowship training at the University of Kansas Medical Center.
After training, Dr. Basem started his career at the University of Kansas Medical Center and worked as an assistant professor for several years. He is currently American Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology.
Dr. Basem has a particular interest in education, and he is currently involved in the rheumatology fellowship training program at Hamad Medical Corporation.
