Dr. Surjith Vattoth is an American Board of Radiology (ABR) certified Radiologist with ABR subspecialty certification in Neuroradiology. He is currently a Senior Consultant Neuroradiologist in HMC and an Associate Professor of Clinical Radiology in Weill Cornell Medicine. Before moving to Qatar, he was an Assistant professor of Radiology/Neuroradiology in University of Alabama (UAB) in USA. Dr Vattoth is also Radiology board certified in India (MD, DMRD and DNB) and UK (Fellow of Royal College of Radiologists-FRCR-London) with a certification of completion of specialist training (CCST).
Dr. Vattoth has more than 100 academic works published including 42 peer-reviewed articles in journals like AJNR, AJR and Radiographics, 27 book chapters and 31 abstracts. He is a cover author of the 2018 Elsevier book, Imaging Anatomy: Head and Neck (also available online in STATdX and Expertconsult.com). Currently he is authoring 44 more chapters in the Elsevier book, Diagnostic imaging: Pediatric neuroradiology.
Dr. Vattoth serves as the Associate Editor of Journal of Pediatric Neurology and is a journal reviewer for journals like AJNR. He has served in many radiological societies around the world including the Education Committee of Radiological Society of North America (RSNA). He has received multiple teaching awards including the RSNA Honored Educator award.
