Thurayya Arayssi

Dr. Thurayya Arayssi is a Professor of Clinical Medicine and Vice Dean for Academic and Curricular Affairs at Weill Cornell Medicine-Qatar (WCM-Q). Dr. Arayssi’s current research interests focus on Behcet’s disease and rheumatoid arthritis (RA), for which she has received funding as the Principal Investigator from local and international funding agencies. She has authored over 100 peer-reviewed articles, abstracts, and book chapters in her area of expertise.

Dr. Arayssi is interested in physician workforce development and retention in less-resourced countries through improving education standards and training of physicians across the education continuum and has been involved in the accreditation of residency programs, CPD, and medical education programs.
