Dr. Salha Bujassoum has been a Senior Consultant at the National Centre for Cancer Care and Research (NCCCR) since 2005. She is the Program Director of Cancer Genetic Program and the Clinical Lead of the Breast Multi-Disciplinary Team. She has also been the Fellowship Program Director Oncology since 2011.

She obtained Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from King Saud University in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in 1992. She finished her Post graduate studies in Canada and received the Specialist Certificate in Internal Medicine/Hematology from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, Toronto-Canada in 2000and was certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine/Clinical Hematology and Medical Oncology, Toronto, Canada in 2000,2001, and 2004.

Dr. Salha Bujassoum was appointed as Consultant in Hematology/Oncology in Hamad General Hospital from February 2003 to 2005, and then was promoted as Sr. Consultant in Hematology/Oncology in NCCCR in 2005. She is member at a number of international oncology societies such ESMO, ASCO, in addition to International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) Scientific Council. She is a founder of hospital based standard risk Breast Cancer Screening in 2008 and founder of Hereditary Cancer Genetic Program in 2013, Breast Timour Board in 2005.

She served on many HMC committees including hospital research committee, medical education committee, QPS. Her research activities focused on breast and gynecological malignancy and cancer genetics. She has multiple active grants from QNRF. In addition, she is Chair of Organizing Committee of Annual Breast Cancer Conference which is held regularly in month of October for the last 7 consecutive years.

In recognition of her effort in improving patient care she received six stars of excellence awards in the last three consecutive years.
