Dr Os Cotta is a clinician-researcher based at The University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia. His research interests include implementing and testing advanced approaches to optimize pharmacotherapy in high-risk patient population groups, such as the critically ill. Dr Cotta currently leads the Pharmacokinetic-Pharmacodynamic Sub-study of the BLING III Randomised Controlled Trial. This trial, conducted in over 7,000 patients worldwide, will provide the most robust evidence to date on the optimal administration and required drug exposure of broad-spectrum beta-lactam antibiotics in the treatment of patients with severe sepsis.
