Dr. Israa Elhakeem

Dr. Israa Elhakeem graduated from the University of Medical Sciences and Technology in Khartoum, Sudan, and earned her bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) in 2018. Following her graduation, she joined Hamad Medical Cooperation, where she went on to complete her internship training program. 

She then proceeded with four years of training as a Medical Resident in the Internal Medicine Residency program. In July 2022, she joined the National Center for Cancer Care and Research (NCCCR) as a clinical fellow in Medical Oncology and is currently in her second year of training. 

She has actively contributed to research, publications, and quality projects throughout her training to improve patient-centered care and education. 

Dr. Elhakeem is currently pursuing her Arab Board in Internal Medicine certification. Her main interests are women's health and awareness, particularly in gynae-oncology.
