Dr. Nabil El-Hadi Omar, BSc Pharm, BCOP, PharmD, PhD(c)​

Dr. Nabil El-Hadi El-Sayed Ali Omar is currently working as clinical pharmacist specialized in oncology and palliative care at the National Center for Cancer Care and Research, Hamad Medical Corporation, Qatar.

He graduated from the College of Pharmacy at the Mansoura University in Egypt in 2008.

He is also an American Board-Certified Oncology/Hematology Pharmacist (BCOP) from the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP) in 2013.

He finished a Doctor of Pharmacy degree (PharmD) from the College of Pharmacy at the Qatar University in 2016.

In the duration between May 2016 to May 2017, he earned a one-year post-graduate diploma in Cancer Biology and Therapeutics from Harvard Medical School.

He completed the Indiana Pharmacy Teaching Certificate post-graduate program, Post graduate program from Indiana College of Pharmacy in July 2020.

In December 2021, he finished the Precision Medicine: Applied Pharmacogenomics Program from the ACCP College. Moreover in 2024, he finished a 3-month postgraduate certificate program in Precision Medicine: Oncology Genomics from ACCP as well.

He serves as a core team member in the HMC Pharmacy Pharmacogenomics Corporate Working Group, the goal of this committee is to implement and enhance the pharmacogenomics and precision medicine practice across HMC.

He is also an advanced Clinical Internship Preceptor for the PharmD program, College of Pharmacy at Qatar university, adjunct Clinical Faculty, College of Pharmacy, Qatar University.

He is serving as an academic editor in PLOS ONE Journal (PLOS), also a peer reviewer for number of international journals.

Up to August 2024, he holds a H-index of 10 and i10-index of 10. So far, he has published 50 articles in different peer reviewed and high impact factors journals. He also presented more than 80 poster abstracts in national and international conferences.

His research interest includes cancer immunotherapy, clinical pharmacy practice, pharmacogenomics, medication safety and precision medicine.

Currently, Dr Nabil is a PhD candidate in Pharmacogenomics and precision medicine at the Qatar University.
