
Dr. Ayman Saleh, MD/MPH/FAAP
Dr. Ayman Saleh is an established and highly skilled physician with over 30 years of experience in the field of Pediatrics and Pediatrics Hematology Oncology. At present, he is Division Chief of Pediatric Hematology-Oncology & Bone Marrow Transplant in Sidra Medicine, Qatar since 2017.
Dr. Ayman earned his Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from the University of Aleppo, Syria in 1987 and served as Chief Resident Pediatrics at Children’s Hospital of Michigan in 1992. In 2015, Dr. Ayman successfully completed his Master’s in Public Health (MPH) program at Northeastern Ohio Medical University. Further, he held multiple leadership positions including Division Chief of Pediatric Hematology Oncology in 1998 and Medical Director and Chairman of the Department of Pediatrics in 2005. He likewise chaired several committees such as Cancer Care Committee, Institutional Review Board (IRB), Pediatric Academic Review, Pediatric Executive Committee to name a few.
Majority of Dr. Ayman’s work has been devoted to research and delivery of health care to patients and families in various communities in the US and Qatar after joining Sidra Medicine. He conducted research projects and served as a principal investigator and a full member of the International Children’s Oncology Group (COG) since its inception in 2000.He also conducted clinical trials and received multiple grants in childhood cancer, hemophilia, hemoglobinopathies and supportive care.
