Dr. Palmira Caparrotti
Senior Consultant Radiation Oncology, NCCCR

Dr Palmira Caparrotti is a Radiation Oncologist, working as a Senior Consultant in the Department of Radiotherapy and Radiation Oncology, at the National Center for Cancer Care and Research (NCCCR), in Doha, Qatar.

She received her Medical Degree from the Sacred Heart Catholic University in Rome and her Specialist degree from La Sapienza University in the Italian capital, gaining her experience at the Umberto I Teaching Hospital. She has later worked at the San Giovanni Calibita Hospital in the heart of historic Rome, collaborating with national experts in the treatment of Breast, and Head and Neck cancers.

Dr Caparrotti has been working at NCCCR since 2014 and is an active core member of the Breast and Head and Neck MDTs and is part of the National Clinical Advisory Groups for these malignancies.

Her main interests in breast cancer radiotherapy focus on regional nodal irradiation, de-escalation, heart-sparing techniques, and treatment of nasopharyngeal carcinomas.
