Melissa Toon
Melissa Toon, is a Supervisor and clinical specialist in the Occupational Therapy Team within the Allied Health Department at Sidra Medicine. Melissa holds a vast range of clinical experience in pediatric hand trauma, burns and plastics and it was her clinical affiliation with the Sidra Plastics and Craniofacial Reconstruction Service that saw her initiating and developing a first of a kind facial palsy therapy service for children in Qatar. Melissa has over 10 years’ experience in working in the Middle East and has been recognized for her contribution Quality, Safety and Research at the Sidra Medicine CNO excellence in nursing, midwifery and allied health awards in 2022. Melissa has a Masters in Advanced Occupational Therapy Practice and is passionate about supporting staff in service and quality improvement initiatives that improve efficiency and patient care.
