The Patient and Family Education (PFE) Unit was established in 2008 to drive the interest and importance on patient education to improve healthcare services. It has become a separate entity among other health care workers but continues to work collaboratively alongside physicians, nurses, and other health care teams in HMC. Its role became vital for the completion and achievement of HMC mission and vision, JCI requirements, Qatar National Health Strategy 2018-2022 and patient satisfaction.
Mission:
Provide health educational services to patients, families and communities in Qatar.
Vision:
To become a source of information for patients, families, the community and HMC staff.
