Star of Excellence: Hamad General Hospital Injury Prevention Program: Translating Research into Public Safety
The HGH Injury Prevention Program was developed to provide and translate the data that will inform injury prevention programs by identifying high-risk populations and behaviors. The data from this research is used by community groups, schools, government ministries, HMC staff, NGOs and the media to promote injury prevention and safety.
Rising Star: Pediatric Emergency: Nurtures Research Culture
The Pediatric Emergency Center has developed a program of mentoring and developing physicians, nurses, pharmacists and support staff to promote the department as a center of research. Numerous published research projects came from this initiative in a wide range of areas, including general medicine, respiratory expertise, emergency medicine, and quality and safety.
