Mr. Abdul Kuthus Buhari

Mr. Abdul Kuthus has been a dedicated member of Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) since 2009 and brings over 18 years of experience in transfusion medicine. Currently, he leads efforts to establish a comprehensive hemovigilance program at HMC, aimed at enhancing patient outcomes through the monitoring of transfusion-related adverse events and continuous quality improvement. Abdul is also an active member of the Corporate Transfusion Medicine Committee at HMC.
He holds a master’s degree in medical laboratory technology from the University of Madras, India. As a key member of the transfusion medicine quality team, Mr. Abdul has played an instrumental role in securing and maintaining both CAP and AABB accreditations. In August 2024, he along with members of the Asian Association of Transfusion Medicine (AATM), conducted a two-day wet workshop on behalf of AATM, organized by the Maldivian Blood Services in Male, Maldives."
