Dr. Souma EITorky
Dr. Souma EITorky is a key member in the registration and licensing of healthcare practitioners and an educator in the field of maternity and gynecological nursing. She has more than 30 years of experience in various roles and settings, She is currently working as a supervisor of allied health practitioners' registration and licensing, and a consultant in registration and licensing of nursing profession, Department of healthcare profession, MOPH
Dr. EITorky has a strong academic background and a passion for research. She obtained her PhD and master's degree in maternity and gynecological nursing from the University of Alexandria , Egypt, with excellent grades and worked as a faculty member in Alex university as an assistant lecturer, lecturer and finally as an assistant professor. She also completed a postgraduate higher diploma in leadership for change from the International Council of Nurses and the World Health Organization. She has published and presented numerous scientific research papers related to her specialty and has been involved in curriculum development for nursing education programs. Additionally, she worked as a lecturer in the Bachelor of Nursing program in Qatar University and the ADN program in the higher institute of
Nursing I MOPH State of Qatar,
Dr. EITorky is actively involved in the development and improvement of nursing, midwifery , and all ied healthcare practice in the state of Qatar. She has participated in the credentialing and licensing committee for developing the nursing and midwifery practice framework. She has been a member of the Midwifery Taskforce for Qatar National Health Strategy.
Dr. Souma is passionate and knowledgeable and continues to be instrumental in the promotion of public health and quality of care in the State of Qatar and abroad.
