Dr. Maram Makkawy is a clinical fellow, in Advanced General Adults Psychiatry program, at Hamad Medical Corporation.
Dr. Maram is especially interested in rehabilitating and empowering patients with mental health problems through utilizing various community mental health services available in the country.
Over the past two years has been extensively involved in initiating and implementing new rehabilitation opportunities for patients through collaborating with non-health sectors to optimize the patient’s abilities and become an active part of their society. Her aim is to help them rebuild their self-esteem and mental wellbeing.
Dr. Maram has published many research articles and is currently participating in several Quality Improvement projects and Research projects in the field.
Dr. Maram graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Khartoum, Sudan.
