Dr Nima Nazari holds a PhD in Applied Linguistics from King’s College London, three MAs in TEFL, LTHE and IR, a first-class BA in TEFL and a CELTA from the University of Cambridge. He is also a Senior Fellow of the UK Higher Education Academy (SFHEA) and a member of the British Association for Applied Linguistics (BAAL). He has worked as Principal Lecturer, Senior Lecturer and Lecturer at London Metropolitan University, the University of Sunderland and the University of Hertfordshire in the UK, teaching on Applied Linguistics and TESOL programmes for over 20 years.
Dr Nazari has supervised over 100 MA dissertations and 4 PhD theses in Applied Linguistics and TESOL to successful completion and has examined 12 PhD candidates at the UK universities. He has developed and validated a considerable number of face-to-face and distance learning Master’s programmes and modules and has acted as External Examiner for academic programmes and the validation of various courses at the UK universities, including the University of East London, Sheffield Hallam University and the University of Wolverhampton.
Dr Nazari has been a reviewer and member of the editorial panel for English Language Teaching Journal, Language and Language Teaching Journal and the Journal of Education and Practice. His research publications and presentations lie in the processes of second/foreign language learning and teaching as well as ESL/EFL in Higher Education.
