
Feah Altura - Visan
Ms. Feah is a dynamic professional nurse since 2005 with a cumulative nursing experience of 15 years. She assumed work as Infection Prevention and Control professional since June 2007. She is an Internationally Certified Infection Control (CIC) Practitioner since January 2012. She is involved in multiple researches and publications in Infection Prevention and Control and has presented in international conferences.
She is currently employed in Al Wakra Hospital, Hamad Medical Corporation, as Head of HospitalInfection Prevention and Control since May 2014. She is instrumental in commissioning each unit of the hospital and was responsible for ensuring Infection Prevention and Control practices are complied prior and during commissioning and opening of different hospital clinical departments. She has worked with different units on day-to-day implementation of the Infection Prevention and Control Program. She is also actively involved in the Institute of Healthcare Improvement (IHI) Best Care Always (BCA) Campaign and leads subcommittees regarding Infection Prevention and Control indicators and in the Corporate Infection Control projects and Ministry of Public Health educational activities with the MoPH IPC team.
She is a Certified by the Certification Board of Infection Control (CBIC) as a Certified Infection Control (CIC®) Preventionist and a Certified by the American Society of Quality (ASQ) as a Certified Quality Improvement Associate (CQIA).
She graduated and completed the academic units in the Philippines with the Degree of Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She completed the Masters in Nursing (MN) program from the United States of America and completed Post Graduate Diploma for Infection Control in the University of Essex, United Kingdom.
