Dr. Talat Chughtai is a Thoracic Surgeon, with Fellowships in Critical Care Medicine and Trauma, who is presently a Senior Consultant in the Trauma Surgery section at Hamad General Hospital.
He was born in Montreal, Canada, where he completed his entire education, including graduating from McGill Medical School, and completing a Masters in Science in Epidemiology. He completed his training in both Montreal (McGill University Health Centre) and Toronto (Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre).
He has over 30 peer-reviewed publications and has always been actively involved in education. He is an Associate Professor of Surgery at Qatar University College of Medicine, and is involved in teaching, examining, and mentoring their 5th year students in both Trauma, Critical Care, and Thoracic Surgery.
