Rising Star: Fast Track to Redesign Patient Flow in Women’s Hospital Emergency Department
Fast track was implemented to improve patient flow through the Women’s Hospital Emergency Department by developing a designated area for non-urgent cases. The result of this program has been a reduction in waiting times for patients prior to accessing care, decreased length of stay for discharged patients, and increased patient and staff satisfaction.
