Salman Al Jerdi

Salman Al Jerdi, MD, is a Neurologist and Clinician Educator. He is an Assistant Professor of Neurology at Weill Cornell Medicine – Qatar, currently serves as the Director of the Neurology Clerkship. He also holds the position of consultant in Vascular and General Neurology at Hamad Medical Corporation in Qatar.

Dr. Al Jerdi obtained his Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from Weill Cornell Medical College in Qatar, after which he completed his residency training at the Department of Neurological Sciences at the University of Vermont Medical Center. He subsequently completed a fellowship in Vascular Neurology at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.

Dr. Al Jerdi has an active research portfolio focused on cerebrovascular diseases and stroke. His work has resulted in several peer-reviewed publications, contributing to our understanding of conditions like ischemic stroke, COVID-19, and cardiovascular events.

Beyond his clinical and research roles, Dr. Al Jerdi is involved in leadership positions, such as Co-Chair of the Neurology Residency Curriculum Committee, and serving as an active member on the Written Exam Supervision Committee for the Qatari Board of Medicine. Additionally, Dr. Al Jerdi is engaged in community service, and has a significant interest in healthcare management and economics, focusing on quality, inequality, and access. He is currently pursuing an MBA at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst’s Isenberg School of Management, with added qualifications in Healthcare Management.
