Overview

Public health institutions globally recognize nursing and midwifery as foundational pillars of healthcare. Nurses and midwives play a crucial role in healthcare delivery across the world, including in the 22 Arab countries.

In 2026, Qatar will once again bring together representatives from the 22 Arab countries for a conference that raises the visibility and impact of nursing and midwifery care and services across the Arab world. Guided by this year’s theme, the conference will focus on empowering nurses and midwives to strengthen health systems, advance sustainability, and improve health and well-being throughout the region.

Each nurse and midwife, whether providing care to an individual patient, a family, or an entire community, has a unique and valuable story to share. The Arab Nurses and Midwives Conference 2026 offers an exceptional opportunity to hear these narratives, fostering listening, learning, collaboration, and collective growth. The conference serves as a platform for the shared voice of nursing and midwifery professionals across specialties and settings.

Evaluation Process

1. Submission of an abstract constitutes agreement to the guidelines and conditions established by the Organizing Committee. No further revisions by the author(s) will be permitted after submission.
2. Only complete abstract submissions will be reviewed.
3. Reviewers reserve the right to validate a submission, request additional information, and decide whether to accept or reject it.
4. For accepted abstracts, the reviewers will determine the presentation format (oral or poster). An official notice of acceptance will be sent to the submitting author through the conference's official email.
   
5. The decisions of the reviewers are final and not subject to appeal.

Abstracts will be evaluated by an Abstract Review Committee comprising an independent panel of judges. A double-blind review process will be conducted using validated rubric. The final score for each abstract will be calculated by averaging the reviewers’ scores, and submissions will be ranked accordingly. The highest-scoring abstracts for oral and poster presentation in each domain will be shortlisted for the next stage of evaluation.

All accepted abstracts will automatically be entered into a competition. Recognition awards will be announced on the final day of the conference.
