Advanced General Adult Psychiatry
Dr. Maram Makkawy recently graduated from the Advanced General Adults Psychiatry Fellowship program at Hamad Medical Corporation and is now a practicing psychiatrist. Her passion lies in rehabilitating and empowering patients with mental illness by utilizing various community mental health services available.
Over the past three years, she has taken a keen interest in initiating and implementing new rehabilitation opportunities for mentally ill patients, working closely with non-health sectors to optimize patient abilities and help them become active members of society. This approach is aimed at rebuilding patients' self-esteem and improving their mental wellbeing.
Dr. Maram has published several research articles and is currently participating in various Quality Improvement projects and research projects in the field.
