Dr. David Warr

Dr. David Warr is an Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Toronto.

He is the head of breast cancer medical oncology and solid tumor ward chief at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre in Toronto, Canada. He is the past president of the Multinational Association of Supportive Care in Cancer (MASCC) and was given their distinguished service award in 2017.

His research interests are primarily in supportive care with a long interest in antiemetics from initial studies of corticosteroids to the NK1 receptor antagonists. He has published over 50 peer reviewed articles on antiemetics, bisphosphonates, group support, anticoagulation, hot flashes and pain control. He has been involved in the creation of evidence based guidelines for MASCC-ESMO and Cancer Care Ontario.

Currently he is participating in clinical trials of weight reduction/exercise, palbociclib, pembrolizumab and novel drugs for adjuvant and metastatic breast cancer.
